At around 8AM CT, the IRS TIN Matching System started to experience a full outage. We’ve reached out to the IRS to escalate the issue and will continue to monitor until service is restored. We’ll provide more information as it becomes available

While we’ve seen significant improvements in the stability of the IRS TIN matching service since yesterday, we’re still experiencing periods of intermittent outages and failures. We continue to engage with IRS personnel to escalate the issues and will provide updates as we learn more.

While Sovos saw improved stability from the IRS overnight, performance of the IRS TIN matching service has again degraded. The IRS confirmed yesterday that they are experiencing issues and have engaged IT resources to address them. Sovos has escalated our request again this morning and will provide more information as we received updates from the IRS.

Starting yesterday morning, Sovos observed instability in the IRS TIN matching service which is causing a high rate of failure for our real-time TIN matching offering. Sovos engaged with the IRS to resolve the issue.

As of 4 AM this morning, we observed that the IRS TIN matching service had recovered. As a result our TIN matching was no longer seeing high failure rates. This afternoon at 1 PM central, we have seen the same behavior crop up again. We have followed up with the IRS and are working to restore service as quickly as possible
